Château Blissa
Château Blissa

Château Blissa

Commentary Château Blissa commands a 12-hectare estate, of which 10 hectares are dedicated to vines, beautifully situated on a south-facing slope with an unobstructed view all the way to Bordeaux. This historic estate dates back to 1640, as evidenced by the coat of arms engraved in one of the stones of the château, and has been a family estate since 1950. It is currently managed by Stéphane Destrade. After starting his career in finance in London, Stéphane Destrade chose to return to the family property, which he has completely renovated and restructured since 2009. Stéphane Destrade practices sustainable viticulture based on careful observation of the vines. His viticultural choices include double Guyot pruning, plowing, cover cropping every other row, hilling and de-hilling, manual leaf removal, and green harvesting at the closure of the grape bunches depending on the vintage. Only organic fertilizers are used. Grapes: Malbec (1/3), Merlot (1/3), Cabernet Sauvignon (1/3) Producer: Destrade Family in Bayon-sur-Gironde (33710) Formats and packaging: Bottle (75cl) - Carton of 6 - 2016
