Château Olivier

Commentary In the heart of a vast estate made up of forests, meadows, and vineyards, Château Olivier emerges from its woods like a clearing. The beautiful architecture, its water features, and the quality of the outbuildings make it an exceptional site in the midst of nature, just eleven kilometers from Bordeaux. Olivier is a very ancient lordship, with traces dating back to the early Middle Ages. It is said that the Black Prince enjoyed coming here to hunt, as the surrounding forests were rich in game. In 1867, Alexandre de Bethmann was elected Mayor of Bordeaux, and his family became the owners of the Château, which is still managed by his descendants today. In recent years, the vineyard has undergone significant work and investment. The wine from Château Olivier was classified in 1953, both red and white.
