Château Carbonnieux

Commentary Château Carbonnieux is one of the oldest estates in the Bordeaux region. We have to go back to 1234 to find the trace of Ramon Carbonnieux, who is believed to have lent his name to this estate founded in the 13th century by the Benedictines of the Abbey of Sainte-Croix. It passed through various families before Marc Perrin purchased it in 1956, following its initial classification as a Grand Cru of Graves in 1953, which was confirmed in 1959 during the official classification of the Grands Crus of Graves. Since then, this vast property of 170 hectares, including 92 hectares of vineyards, has gradually evolved with increasing quality year after year. Today, the estate Carbonnieux is managed by the grandsons, Eric and Philibert Perrin, whose castle towers are the highest point in the municipality of Léognan. Grapes: Cabernet Sauvignon (49%), Merlot (45%), Petit Verdot (4%), Cabernet Franc (2%) Producer: Perrin Family in Léognan (33850) Formats and packaging: Bottle (75cl) - Wooden case of 6 - 2019
