If a blockage occurs in the system (overload), the set release force is exceeded and the EAS®-axial disengages. The pin shifts, and the switching segments are pushed outward. The rigid connection between the element and the pin is released. A residual force of 15 – 20% of the set value remains. The re-engagement occurs automatically upon restart by retracting or pushing the pin back into its original position.
