Musella Lasiocarpa

Musella Lasiocarpa

Musella lasiocarpa, commonly known as golden banana or Chinese fan banana, is a species of plant belonging to the banana family (Musaceae). Although it is referred to as "banana", it is not closely related to the genus Musa and is the only member of its genus, Musella. It is native to the mountainous regions of southwestern China. The Musella lasiocarpa is a perennial plant that can reach a height of 1 to 2 meters. The most distinctive feature of Musella lasiocarpa is its flowers, as it produces hanging inflorescences of bright yellow with long, narrow petals that resemble a star. The flowers can reach a diameter of up to 30 centimeters and are very striking. Another notable characteristic of Musella lasiocarpa is its cold resistance.
