Beaucarnea

The Beaucarnea, commonly known as "pata de elefante", is a succulent plant native to Mexico. It is valued for its distinctive appearance, with a thickened trunk at the base resembling an elephant's foot and long, curved leaves that resemble a horse's tail. The Beaucarnea prefers a location with indirect light. They can tolerate a few hours of direct sunlight, but it is best to avoid prolonged exposure to intense sunlight. This plant prefers moderate temperatures and does not tolerate extreme cold well. The typical indoor humidity is generally sufficient for its growth. The Beaucarnea grows slowly and can reach a significant height over time, often exceeding 2 meters under optimal conditions.
