Dual measurement system for length measurement and classification of ground compression springs within the production cycle The arrangement of the LED light surface, telecentric optics, and CCD matrix camera creates an image of the spring end of the currently produced compression spring. The image analysis software determines the current length of the spring and classifies it into previously defined size categories. All classification criteria are adjustable. The entire system is integrated into the production line and forwards the length measurement results to the machine control. Measurement accuracy: better than 0.05 mm Nominal cycle rate: 3600 parts per hour
