Passivation of stainless steels
Passivation of stainless steels

Passivation of stainless steels

The passivation process removes foreign particles (alloy components, oxide layers) from the component surface. At the same time, it strengthens the passive layer on the component surface. The process does not result in any significant metal removal, allowing for the treatment of mating surfaces with tolerances of ≥ 2 μm.
