HQW Precision GmbH has developed ball bearings made from a new, completely non-magnetic material that achieves a minimum hardness of 60HRC. Advantages of the non-magnetic HQW rolling bearings: - Non-magnetic ball bearings from HQW are suitable for significantly higher loads and speeds. - Extremely high corrosion resistance (better than high nitrogen steels like SV30). - Their thermal expansion coefficient and the E-modulus are similar to those of standard steel bearings, allowing for a press fit without damage, unlike full ceramic bearings. - Non-magnetic components, including ceramic balls, plastic cages, and optional plastic sealing rings, can be used for 100% non-magnetic bearings. - Tolerances according to ABEC9/ISO P2 Typical applications: - Medical scanners, e.g., MRI/CT - Semiconductor equipment - Vacuum technology - Magnetometers - Electron beam processes - LCD manufacturing - Medical implants - Aerospace & defense
