Acid Casein

Acid casein is made from skim milk coagulated with hydrochloric acid. After the coagulation process, the casein is separated from the whey and then concentrated and dried. There are many applications for casein, such as infant nutrition, sports supplements, processed cheese, beverages, coffee whiteners, and meat products. Casein obtained through coagulation using acid is also widely used in industry, e.g., in the production of waterproof casein adhesives used for bonding wood, veneers, plywood, furniture, textiles, leather, and plywood. Galalita plastic is also made from casein.
