Inductive Sensors for Large and Long Metallic Parts

The IFE family sensors from EGE, with lengths of up to 900 mm, are designed to detect large metallic objects and offer a switching distance of up to 180 mm. The sensors are extremely robust, waterproof according to IP 68, making them suitable for outdoor use. The proximity switches operate based on the proven inductive principle and switch contactlessly when a metallic object approaches. Sensors from this family replace multiple inductive sensors connected in series. With their large sensing area, they reliably detect large moving metal parts. For example, the sensors check the reinforcement in concrete cast parts during quality assurance or report the presence of iron rails for further transport.
