...In traditional or Finnish saunas, heat is transmitted through the air. In an infrared cabin, only 20% of the radiant heat is used to warm the air. The remaining 80% is converted directly into body heat, partly due to the high water content of our bodies. Generally, an infrared cabin resembles a classic wooden sauna cabin. However, since infrared rays heat the body directly, these radiators can also be used outside of a cabin. The essential factor is the radiation, not the heat of the surrounding air.
