ELEKTROWERKE ROCKENBACH GMBH

In 1915, Elektro-Werke Uerdingen AG was founded. In the early years of operation, the core competency was the production of rotary, direct, and alternating current motors up to 90 kW. In the 1940s, Elektro-Werke Uerdingen AG was eventually renamed after its founder and owner to Elektro-Werke Rockenbach & Co. In the same decade, the decision was made to focus on the repair and maintenance of electric motors. Under the leadership of the then-owner Mr. Hans Rockenbach, Mr. Gerd Jansen joined the company as workshop manager and electrical engineering master on May 17, 1976. After the sudden death of Mr. Hans Rockenbach, Mrs. Brinkmann and Mr. Gerd Jansen took over the management in 1988. In 1990, the company moved to its current premises at Carl-Sonnenschein-Straße 94 in Krefeld-Linn. In 1994, Mr. Gerd Jansen assumed sole management. In 2005, Mr. Thomas Jansen joined the company as an electrical engineering master/business economist and eventually took over the management of the workshop. Through various expansions, most recently in 2011/2012 (warehouse for new motors), Elektro-Werke Rockenbach GmbH now offers a modern workshop, storage, and office space on nearly 1,000 m².
