Strikingly shiny and metallic yarns for use in fashionable textiles and technical fabrics. Metallic yarn is a synthetic yarn that has a metallic appearance. It contains some metal components, which give it a shine while also providing a certain level of stability and tension. Metallic yarn, also known as aluminum-metallized polyester yarn, covers a wide range of applications. The standard colors of our metallic yarns are available in over 400 variations in stock, as unreinforced yarn, reinforced (twisted) yarn, or round yarn. Additionally, the variations differ in film type, film thickness, cut width, and yarn thickness. There are also additional colors and special types of metallic yarn, such as MAM, MHX, SR, and LMHS types, available from stock or can be delivered according to your specifications. Our metallic yarns, available in many different colors, are all Oeko-Tex Standard 100 certified.
