Musa sikkimensis, also known as the Sikkim banana or Himalayan banana, is a species of plant belonging to the genus Musa. It is native to the mountainous regions of the Himalayas, particularly Sikkim, a region in northeastern India. This species of Musa can reach a height of about 3 to 6 meters. The leaves are large and fan-shaped, significantly wider than those of other banana species, giving them a lush appearance. One of the outstanding characteristics of Musa sikkimensis is its cold resistance compared to other banana species.
