Polishes for Stainless Steels

Electropolishing removes all foreign particles from the surface. Combined with a defined material removal, it progressively levels the micro-roughness of the same. Generally, the following surface conditions can be achieved: • Removal of heat tint, oxide layers, and foreign particles • Noble, aesthetic appearance of the workpiece (shine) • Clean, smooth surface for technical applications • Average roughness value Ra 0.1 µm or even less Materials suitable for polishing include chromium-nickel steels, such as 1.4301, 1.4306, 1.4401, 1.4404, 1.4435, 1.4436.
