Safe discharge of electrostatic charges during the loading and unloading of road tankers, silo wagons, and railway tank cars. The EKX-4 safely directs the static electricity generated during loading and unloading through a grounding cable into the ground and continuously monitors the quality of the grounding. Only when the connected object is properly grounded will the electronic control outputs be activated, and green LEDs will indicate that it is safe to proceed. If there is a disruption in the grounding connection, this will be signaled by red LEDs, and the filling process will be immediately interrupted. The EKX-4 is installed stationary at the filling platform on the facility side. It is used in gas and dust explosion hazardous areas of Zones 1 and 21 – primarily in the petrochemical and chemical industries. Other application areas include the food and feed industry, in explosion-prone bulk materials, and in the aviation sector.
