POM Plastics (Delrin)

DELRIN is a thermoplastic, semicrystalline material known for its high hardness and strength, excellent machining results, and multiple applications. The acetal resin or DELRIN has high rigidity and mechanical fatigue resistance. Dimensional stability is the characteristic that makes acetal resin preferable to polyamide when stable dimensions are required, both in humidity and temperature. It is important to highlight its static and dynamic coefficients and that its elastic behavior is similar to steel. Additionally, it is an excellent dielectric as it does not absorb moisture. Both POM-C (Copolymers) and POM-H (Homopolymers) are similar in their overall properties, although the main difference between them is that the mechanical characteristics of POM-H are better than those of POM-C, and its machining is easier.
