SILCAFELT 130S is a flexible fiber paper with a uniform structure and a smooth surface. SILCAFELT 140Z is a flexible fiber felt with high tensile strength. SILCAFELT products are made from aluminum silicate wool and special organic binders. The binders are released at approximately 200 °C. The products are characterized by high resilience, high temperature resistance, and low thermal conductivity. SILCAFELT is very easy to process, cut, and punch. Typical applications include high-temperature seals, backing insulation for liquid metal transport, and expansion joints in refractory construction.
