Coated Compression Springs

The need to coat a spring can have many causes. Primarily, the coating serves to protect against corrosion, but there may also be aesthetic reasons. Color differentiation as an assembly aid, a specific color to enhance brand recognition, or simply an improvement in appearance for visible springs can be reasons. Röhrs collaborates with the customer to find the best possible solution and recommends the appropriate process. Common methods include: • Zn-Al lamellar coating to enhance corrosion protection • Painting for custom coloring • Chromating for aesthetic improvement
