- The thread former does not cut the receiving thread but shapes it. - The thread is more load-bearing due to the forming process. When forming threads, the receiving thread is not cut but shaped. During this process, the material is formed in such a way that it becomes compacted in the receiving thread. This contributes to the thread being more load-bearing. In contrast to thread cutting, the process of thread forming is significantly faster and produces a higher surface quality. Additionally, no chips are produced during thread forming, and the thread former has a longer service life.
