Reamer with indexable inserts

The hallmark of the Mapal WP cutter is the indexable insert with two cutting edges. The notches required for reaming feature a double notch with a flat finishing section. The adjustable taper of the cutting edge allows for the influence of the secondary cutting edge to be tailored to the specific machining task. The use of the series presented in this document is machine-dependent, either in a pendulum holder or directly in a rigid clamping system. Standard tools are generally equipped with guide rails made of carbide. For special applications, the guide rails can also be fitted with cermet or PCD.
