Our water softeners come standard with a dual safety system designed to prevent overflow during the filling of the salt reservoir with water. This protection may seem unnecessary, but it has already proven effective in cases where a power outage occurs while filling the salt tank with water. This dual system also protects us from potential failures that could be caused by impurities carried in the water pipes during maintenance work. The safety valve is an active device that allows, under the action of a float, to stop the water supply to the salt reservoir. This preventive process helps avoid excessive filling of the salt reservoir. The overflow elbow is a passive device that, when connected to a water drain, redirects any excess water present in the salt tank to the sewer. This "curative" process helps prevent flooding of the area in case of a failure in the filling system.
