SILCACON Primer for priming SILCA boards and preparing them for subsequent application of plaster, adhesive, or lime plaster. The primer reduces the capillary activity of the SILCA boards. SILCACON Primer is a water-based suspension made from pure acrylic without the addition of a solvent, featuring diffusion properties and alkaline resistance. It is used on the outer sides of the insulation boards in the chimney. Dilute with clean water in a ratio of 1:2. The primed surface is slightly hardened. SILCACON Primer should be well stirred or shaken before application. For an even application, it is best to use a spray device. Smaller areas can be primed with a brush or roller. Care should be taken to ensure an even distribution of the primer. A properly primed surface will have a slight blue tint. Further work should only begin after drying.
