Once assigned, the samples can be played dynamically via the eight backlit pads. In the studio, live, or as part of a DJ setup: Akai MPX8 combines Akai Pro technology in a robust housing. Controller for software & MIDI equipment Akai MPX8 offers both USB MIDI and a standard MIDI In/Out port. This allows the Akai MPX8 to be used for controlling software or MIDI hardware. In the latter case, the connection is made via the included 1/4" to MIDI adapter cable. Convenient editing With the included sample editor, sample settings such as tuning, reverb, and pad assignments can be easily prepared on a Mac or PC. Through simple drag-and-drop, samples are automatically converted to .wav format. Additionally, the Akai MPX8 comes with a free loop library for download, as well as internal samples for live performances, studio productions, or DJ sets.
