When taken orally, it is said to strengthen the immune system; when applied topically, it promotes wound healing and alleviates arthritic complaints. Further Information: Camelina seed oil has a high content of unsaturated fatty acids, with a large portion being omega-3 and only a small portion being omega-6 fatty acids. The oil is obtained through cold pressing, as other processing methods would lead to the loss of valuable ingredients. The taste of the oil can be compared to that of peas. The oil is processed as a cooking oil in the food industry or used in the cosmetics industry as an ingredient for soap.
