Optical profile measurement tools for monitoring the wear of mounted axles - The CALIPRI C4x series, a non-contact measurement solution with measurement modules for railway vehicles, meets the standards of the railway industry for easy profile measurement with user-independent results for comprehensive axle control. CALIPRI stands for multifunctionality across the board. This technology allows for the measurement of wheel profile and diameter, brake disc, and wheel spacing using the same measurement tool. The patented CALIPRI principle automatically corrects errors, ensuring reproducible measurement results. The system consists of a sensor and a tablet PC to define the measurement sequence and enter threshold values. Exceeded tolerances are communicated via a traffic light system. The measurement data can then be printed or exported as a report. Two versions are available: CALIPRI C42 for mainline railways and CALIPRI C41 for low-floor vehicles.
