Polyporus Umbellatus Extract, Powder, and Capsules - As a Dietary Supplement or Functional Food

The Polyporus has a long history as a medicinal mushroom. It has been used for over a thousand years as a traditional antibiotic. Even the frozen mummy Ötzi carried some birch polypore, a fungus similar to Polyporus, apparently to combat infections. We offer Polyporus in the form of extract, powder, and extract and powder capsules. The extract is standardized to polysaccharides. The extraction of polysaccharides from the chitin shell of the mushroom is done using hot water. Compared to the powder, the extract has about a 10-fold concentration of polysaccharides. Our powders are obtained from the gently dried fruiting body of the mushroom through fine grinding. A quality feature is the particle size of < 0.125 mm. All raw materials are tested for 250 parameters and aromatic hydrocarbons. The corresponding laboratory analyses and certificates are provided with each batch.
