The energy management market is currently growing rapidly. Driven by the trend towards digitalization and government funding programs, such as special compensation regulations and peak compensation, more and more small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in Germany are entering the field of energy management. The solutions range from simple visualization of energy consumption to automation and even certified energy management systems. To implement effective energy management within a company, consistent energy data collection is a prerequisite. The collection of all relevant energy data plays a crucial role in improving energy consumption. The collection and analysis of the utilized energy data can be submitted for the so-called peak compensation according to § 55 of the Energy Act and § 10 of the Electricity Tax Act. This allows companies to take advantage of tax benefits and save on electricity taxes.
