The settling effect, especially for small particles, is enhanced through plastic tubes arranged in lamella packs, which also multiplies the effective surface area of the basin. The inclined position of the lamellae facilitates the sliding of excess sludge to the bottom of the container. This way, the sludge is separated from the treated circulation water by settling.
