EP 500-40 - Knee Lever Presses

Mäder knee lever presses reach their nominal force only at the end of the ram stroke, at the bottom dead center (BDC). Using the knee lever mechanism, a high working pressure of the press is achieved with relatively low effort from the operator. Knee lever presses are used when the full force of the press is needed only over a short distance at the end of the working stroke, such as in assembly, punching, riveting, embossing, gluing, etc. Standard extensions of 63 mm, 80 mm, 100 mm, and 250 mm allow for a wide range of parts to be manufactured. The working heights can be infinitely adjusted depending on the model, ranging from 43 mm to 375 mm.
