This fact is honestly acknowledged by high-level official oncologists. The reasons for this failure can be summarized in four points: the almost exclusive use of medical imaging for diagnosis, which only allows tumors to be detected after at least seven years of development; the neglect of the \"terrain\"; the priority use of violent and non-selective means for treatments; and the economic implications of official oncology.\n\nHowever, there exists a whole range of effective means developed by ingenious researchers, whose ideas are not accepted by the dominant ideology. Thus, early diagnostic methods have been tested on a large scale; therapies applicable ten days a year allow for preventive treatment of at-risk individuals; and selective treatments have proven effective against confirmed cancers.\n\nThese treatments, which pool the work of scientists from around the world, do not completely exclude conventional therapies but allow them to be used in low doses, thereby respecting the immune system. Thanks to these methods, the problem of cancer could be largely resolved.\n\nJoseph Lévy holds a doctorate in medicine and a specialty doctorate in physical sciences, is a graduate in nuclear medicine as well as from the International Institute of Acupuncture and Energy Medicine, and is a member of the Academy of Sciences of New York.
