The wine: This delicious sweet Chenin comes from a great terroir of schist, perfectly suited for producing sweet wines. Here, the morning mists encourage 'noble rot' (the microscopic fungus Botrytis cinerea), allowing the berries to concentrate their sugars and aromas. This unique climate, combined with the very precise selection of grapes at the beginning of over-ripeness by the Ogereau family, gives us a cuvée of great aromatic richness. It is indulgent, perfectly balanced, and finishes with a very digestible aftertaste. Aromas of honey, acacia, peach, apricot, and candied mandarin emerge from the glass. Enchanting!
