The spirit: The Armagnac Napoléon 10 years old from the house of Baron Gaston Legrand is a superb, complex, elegant, and highly aromatic brandy. Delicious fruity notes (peach, apricot, mirabelle) and floral hints (acacia, hawthorn) emerge during tasting, enveloped by a lovely texture and a smooth alcohol. Aromas of dried grapes and vanilla are also present, providing a very indulgent balance to the whole. A great Armagnac for a moment of contemplation! The house: Founded in 1680 and based in Angeac in Charente, the house of Guy Lhéraud is a family business with 85 hectares of vineyards within the Crus of Cognac Petite Champagne, as well as in the Fins Bois and Grande Champagne. The grape varieties Ugni Blanc (predominantly), Colombard, and Folle Blanche are planted here on a particularly chalky terroir.
