Post-Treatment

Post-treatment of the produced surfaces can enhance their appearance and corrosion resistance. Blued or phosphated parts require post-treatment to protect them from corrosion. Typically, the parts are immersed in an oil-water mixture (emulsion). Tempering after surface treatment can reduce the risk of brittle fracture due to hydrogen induction.
