Ceramic Infrared Heaters

The Infra Rodon ceramic infrared heaters are constructed using a resistive spiral made of a metal alloy, which is inserted into a glazed refractory matrix that protects it from oxidation and corrosive vapors. The full contact of the resistive spiral with the refractory matrix allows for a particularly uniform temperature distribution on the surface of the infrared heater. The emission spectrum generated by the ceramic infrared heaters depends on the nominal power and primarily falls within the medium wave band. This type of infrared heater can be equipped with a thermocouple embedded within the refractory during the manufacturing process. By relating the radiant temperature measured by the thermocouple to that of the irradiated material, it is possible to optimize energy efficiency by adjusting the power output through a specific control system.
