The paddle dryers are vacuum dryers that operate discontinuously. The centrifugal unit is optimally adapted to the process, as it is frequency-controlled. In a cylindrical drum with a tempered jacket, the rotating mixing elements ensure a three-dimensional movement of the product. This movement guarantees a high contact rate between the particle exchange surface and the heat, resulting in very short drying times. The movement of the product ensures intensive contact of the particles with the heated wall of the container, while the product is treated gently. A high-speed rotating cutting head available promotes the phase transition of the product and significantly increases drying efficiency or prevents differences in humidity and temperature. Fine particles with solvent vapors are separated in the filter and returned to the product bed through filter cleaning.
