The AS 400 is a universally applicable driven unwind with adjustable wire or thread tension. The AS 400 can only be operated in conjunction with a separate dancer storage. It is predominantly constructed as a welded structure using hollow profiles. The spool area is covered with a protective grid, the opening of which causes an immediate shutdown of the unwind and the winder during operation (EMERGENCY STOP). The spool to be unwound is driven by a frequency-controlled three-phase motor via a Poly-V belt. The motor speed is determined by the winding speed set by the winder. The adjustment of the wire pulling force must be made at the dancer storage. It can be coupled with various winding devices, with the winding speed being specified by the winder.
