Maltitaste maltitol syrup is obtained through the catalytic hydrogenation of maltose syrup. It has a lower glycemic index compared to table sugar. Low calorie value. Does not leave an undesirable taste in the mouth. Excellent heat stability. Low hygroscopicity. Provides control over consistency, viscosity, crystallization, and color. Does not cause tooth decay. Gives an excellent crunch to gum coatings. Does not participate in the Maillard reaction. Complies with USP/EP/BP standards. Application Areas: chocolate, ice cream, diet products, cakes, biscuits, candies, gum, energy bars, non-alcoholic beverages, halva, jam, spreadable chocolate, wafers, and baked goods.
