Miniature Bending Beam Tension Compression Force Sensor - 8510

Load cell, tensile and compressive force, double bending beam, miniature, easy installation - The sensor element is a double bending beam with applied strain gauges (SG). The changes in the ohmic resistances of the SG full bridge due to the applied measuring force are converted into an electrical voltage. The exact value (characteristic value) of the output voltage when the sensor is loaded with the nominal force is specified in the included calibration protocol. On the side with the cable outlet, the sensor is mounted with 2 screws. The opposite side is used for force (load) application. If the nominal force is exceeded in either tensile or compressive direction by about 20%, further deflection of the bending beam is prevented by a mechanical stop. This eliminates the risk of damage due to permanent deformation of the sensor element.
