CNC unit for processing wood, composite materials, and aluminum - The aggregate manufacturer BENZ offers the FLEX5C, the only fully automatic swiveling saw, drilling, and milling unit for profile groove processing. The FLEX5 unit allows for 5-axis processing on a 4-axis machine. The adjustment of the 5th axis occurs between processing steps through the drive of the C-axis. The existing technology has now been specifically optimized for the introduction of profile grooves. While previously only milling of horizontal or vertical grooves at the edge of the workpiece and at any angle was conceivable, the new design also allows for processing in the center of the workpiece up to depths of 10mm. The FLEX5+C variant additionally features an interface for the automatic tool change via a separate tool changer.
