The MTR3CMOS camera uses the SONY Exmor CMOS sensor as the imaging device and USB 3.0 as the transmission interface to increase the frame rate. The two-stage Peltier cooling sensor chip cools the sensor down to -42 degrees below ambient temperature. USB 3.0 is used as the data transmission interface to enhance the frame rate. The MTR3CMOS can often be used in low-light environments and for capturing and analyzing fluorescence images in microscopy, as well as in astronomy deep-sky applications. The integrated CMOS sensor IMX571C, 1.8" (23.48 x 15.67 mm) with significantly improved image geometry, contrast, and sensitivity presents even the edge areas absolutely sharp with a pixel size of 3.76 x 3.76 µm. This camera version is identical to the MTR3CMOS2600KPA, but instead of the C-mount connection, it features the more common M42x0.75 mm thread used in telescopes. Additionally, the IR filter has been replaced with AR glass.
