Aluminiumwerk Unna AG specializes in the production of aluminum tubes. The tubes are manufactured at our facility using two types of processes: the needle process (seamless) and the bridge process (welded). It is quite easy to distinguish between the two processes: in the seamless extrusion process, the mandrel (needle) is fixed inside the extrusion chamber, creating the internal diameter of the tube, while in the bridge extrusion, the mandrel is fixed to the die via support arms or bridges.
