OIL RECOVERY LAMINATION - Recovery of aluminum foil lamination oil

The cold rolling process for producing thin aluminum sheets uses a lubricating and cooling oil composed of a mix of hydrocarbons: to ensure emissions comply with regulations, the oil must be treated. This system allows for the control of emissions related to rolling oil mists and the recovery of the oil itself, which can be reused in the production process after regeneration. The rolling oil, in the form of vapor or mist, is treated in a scrubber and absorbed by a heavier washing oil with negligible vapor pressure under process conditions; the resulting product is sent to a distillation column for the separation of the two oils. The rolling oil is recovered and reused in the rolling process, while the absorption oil is recirculated back into the scrubber.
